His love endures forever

Bible journal page of psalm 136, the side margins and the top half of the left hand page are covered in pink, blue and green paint (most with a pearl effect) in a random fashion. Words are written on top of this, inspired by the psalm.

I created this bible journal page back in 2024. I like the randomness of it. I took some acrylic paint of different colours and essentially created a background, covering everything apart from Psalm 136. I didn’t really have a plan, I just played with the paint. Some of the paint has a pearlised effect, as I had mixed a pearl white with the pink, blue and green paints for a different project.

On the left hand page I wrote the refrain that comes at the end of every verse ‘his steadfast love endures forever.’ I’ve used a brush pen for this, and as it’s the thickest text on the page, it is where your eye is drawn to first. I’ve then added at the bottom ‘Nothing will ever change that’, just to emphasise the point - God’s love will endure forever.

On the right hand page I have written my own words in the same pattern as the psalm, emphasising once again at the end that God’s love endures forever.
