Like a child …
Do you remember as a child, holding onto your parent’s leg? It’s something children tend to do when they feel insecure, perhaps in a new place or when there are lots of new people around. As an adult, we have to deal with our insecurities in other ways, one of which can be to cling to God.
“Run, run to the Father, for he loves you. He holds you tight and won’t let go. Know how much he loves you. You’re his child. He has a long cape in which you can hide, in which you can feel secure. As you leave it to go to work, know you can always return to the love and security of your Father, just like a young child does when they feels insecure. Your worth, your security, your peace always lies with the Father.” From my journal in 2014
This painting sits in my little folder of images that I return to time and time again. Perhaps one day I’ll try and develop it into a bigger piece, but for now this suffices just for me.
