On my desk this month …
Recently I’ve been making quite a few finger labyrinths. I’m going to be sharing them at a local event (Wirral Earth Fest) in September. Usually, my finger labyrinths are no larger than A4, but I saw a larger finger labyrinth when on retreat last year, and it’s been an idea to create one since then. So as well as creating more A4 labyrinths, I’ve been creating a larger one (but it’s not finished yet). I’m really pleased with how the gold paint came out on top of the purple for my latest A4 one.
This month, my mindful art has involved drawing patterns on some ‘paint leftover postcards’. (Every time I have paint leftover, I use it up on a postcard size piece, and later I will add pattern to it.) Two of them were created with a white posca pen, and the other was a black fineliner. I’m really pleased with how these three look. They’ll be going in my box of art to give away, (which will also come with me to the event next month).
