The Story of Art Blessings

A number of prints scattered on top of each other.

Back in 2021, I would regularly sit in a local cafe and paint. I also had a box with me of small pieces of art that I would give away. One such piece that I had re-created a few times was the Apple Orange Tree. I soon noticed that this was popular, which was why I kept re-painting it! But after a while, I got fed up of painting this picture and decided that perhaps it was time to get a print made of it. This idea quickly grew, as I knew I had other similar paintings with a clear message that might also be popular.

I embarked on a project of creating 20 of these images, that I named Art Blessings - for they were to be a blessing to those who received them. Most of these came from my years of my prayer paintings, lessons I had learnt or scriptures I loved. I created 10 messages of wellbeing, and 10 messages with scripture in them. In 2022, I had them printed, with details of Art for the Soul on the back, and then I began giving them away in my local community. I gave them to churches and people I knew, but mainly I gave them away to people at local community events - from summer fairs to coffee mornings. Now, in 2025 I have begun to run out of some of the most popular designs, but there are plenty of others still to give away. I continue to seek out local events where I can give both these and my little mindful art pieces away, sharing love and smiles with my Art Blessings.
