Limitations or Possibilities?

Handdrawn and painted, 3 tubes of paint (red, blue, yellow) on the left hand side. Text on the right hand side reads 'what you see as limitations may actually be the doorway to possibilities'. The words limitations and possibilities are a larger font

I first drew a simple version of this picture as a result of my prayer. It was just three blobs of colour - red, yellow and blue, with the words ‘what you see as limitations, God sees as possibilities’. The primary colours of red, yellow and blue can be mixed to create many different colours of course, many possibilities.

I can’t remember what was going on for me at that time, but the image became one of my favourites - for its simplicity and for its truth. It is easy to get stuck in life, to feel limited by who you are, your qualifications, your financial situation, your circumstances. It is also easy to want to be something you’re not, to feel that you’re limited in some way, not good enough. When we feel stuck in life or limited in some way, we can begin to close our mind off to different possibilities, and we can become fed up with ourselves and our situation, we can lose hope. But what if we changed our mindset to one of hope, one of possibilities and options? Maybe the God who created you can see possibilities that you can’t. Is it possible to consider that whatever you see as limitations, could actually become the doorway to possibilities?
