Don’t Give Up

A circle with a gold rim, and three small camels on the outside of it. Inside the circle are the words 'don't give up' in white, with the remainder of the circle coloured black.

As we’re nearing the end of the 12 days of Christmas, and approaching Epiphany, I thought I’d share this piece with you. I created it a couple of years ago during a session of the online creativity group I am part of. We were exploring the story of the wise men from the East coming to see Jesus. Their journey was hard and long, not a simple A to B. They were searching for Jesus, and looked for him in Jerusalem first, only to be redirected. They didn’t give up, they persevered. And that’s why I created this image. You can spot the three camels on the outside of the circle, pointing me back towards the story of the wise men.

The message of ‘don’t give up’ is one we all need to hear at times. Persevering through challenges, through disappointments is sometimes what is required. The wise men kept their eyes on their goal - to see the newborn King of the Jews. What goal are your eyes set upon as you start 2026?
