You’re a work in progress

I created my first version of this many years ago after a session with my spiritual director. I no longer have that picture, but I remember that it was of a triangular yellow road sign with the words “God’s work in progress”. I expect I was probably getting caught up in trying to fix myself, make myself perfect, that kind of thing. The idea that it wasn’t really my job to fix myself, but that I was God’s work in progress was really helpful. 

Having found this idea (and my original image) helpful, I wanted to share it with others. I’ve tried different versions, but have never quite been happy enough with it to get prints made for my Art Blessings. The picture above is the one attempt I have a copy of, and so I’m pleased to share it here on the blog. Perhaps you or someone else will find the message helpful.
